Sergio Riotta

Assistant Professor of Management Engineering at the University of Palermo, where my research focuses on Operations Management within the healthcare sector.

Beyond academia, I have worked as a system engineer in professional football, overseeing systems such as Video Assistant Referee (VAR), Goal-Line Technology (GLT), and Electronic Performance and Tracking Systems (EPTS).

The same discipline that drives my research shapes my personal pursuits: I have practiced Kyudo — the Japanese Art of Archery — since 2013 and currently hold the rank of IV Dan. I also have a deep passion for photography, with a particular focus on landscape, portrait, and street genres.
