Serhat Koç is graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Law. His practice focuses on the areas of Information and Communication Technologies Law, Entertainment Law and Intellectual Property Law as a legal advisor for ICT Companies. He has a strong academic record, as well as a keen personal interest in Internet and professional research on Internet related law practice. His specialization in different ranges of online services can be briefly expressed as an IT attorney at law and policy expert.
He has been an in house lecturer for respected organizations and universities especially on legal infrastructure of the Internet broadcasting and citizen journalism. He also participated as a speaker at various national and international conferences and panels on Turkish Internet Law, Internet as new media, Internet censorship and fighting cybercrime. Mr. Koç also managed to create a compilation of published academic or sector specific papers on data privacy, online intellectual property rights, Internet regulations and data protection law.
During his professional life, Mr. Koc has happened to get involved with online media on a more organizational basis as having chance to gain experiences in Regulation of Audio-visual sectors or projects in media, government and NGO cooperation. He has represented some of the biggest ISPs, media corporations, e-commerce companies, online advertising companies, software and computer games companies in Turkey and worldwide.
