Hello, I’m Serhii Shylo (Сергій Шило) — First Vice-Rector and First Deputy Chairman of the Academic Council at National University "Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic".

I am an academic, engineer, and university administrator with over two decades of experience dedicated to advancing higher education, university management, and cutting-edge research in electrical engineering.

Academic & Research Background

I hold a Ph.D. (Candidate of Technical Sciences) in Electric Transport / Transport Technologies and an M.Sc. in Electromechanics from Zaporizhzhia National Technical University (2004). My doctoral research focuses on improving the efficiency of traction drives in DC electric trains.

My primary research interests include:

• Modeling of electromechanical and apparatus systems
• Thermal and contact phenomena in electrical apparatus
• Power conversion systems and renewable energy integration
• University ecosystem development and digital transformation
