Serica is a freelance videographer and writer based in Manila, Philippines.
In March 2011 she graduated from Ateneo de Manila University with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, and a minor in French Studies. Apart from English & Filipino, she’s also fluent in Chinese (Mandarine & Fook Yuen), and speaks conversational French.
For some time, she’s spent her post-college days exploring other areas of the craft such as creating film ads, shooting for a travel show when time permits, making occasional documentaries while chasing around flower girls and grumpy little ring bearers on the weekends!
She also spent some months working as an editorial assistant for Town & Country Philippines, covering and writing about high society functions, weddings, and piquing into the brains of the movers and shakers of the society at large.
Also part of her professional background is nearly a year's worth of experience in sales for real estate company, Rockwell Land, where she was sent on post in Singapore to seek out foreign investors.
As of this writing, she’s decided to go back to videography and hop off to exciting destinations around the world with a camera and a pen in tow while looking for scholarships in Europe on Feature Film-making.
