Serina Patterson
Vancouver, BC, Canada
I hail from the rural wilderness and mining towns of Northern Ontario, Canada and have always held a fascination with the ways in which old books, games, and web technology tell stories. I am currently a PhD Candidate at the University of British Columbia in the Department of English. My publications include essays on UX design for digital-age youth, medievalism in video games, and early modern monster texts. Currently, I am editing a forthcoming contributed volume, titled Games and Gaming in Medieval Literature.
I also have a passion for web and interaction design! My other hobbies include: birding, fishing, reading, gaming, and playing Irish trad music on my tinwhistle and 48-button accordion.
