Seth Crean

Clifton, VA

Hello! My name is Seth Patrick Crean. I am currently a freshman at Shenandoah Univeristy. I was recruited to play golf here at SU, and I am a Criminal Justice Major. I have not decided on a minor yet but I am leaning towards Sociology, Psychology, or IT. A little bit about myself, I am from Clifton, Virginia, located just outside of Fairfax, Virginia. I went to Robinson Secondary School for my junior and senior years of high school. I have not lived here in the state of Virginia for very long. I was born in Freeport, Maine and lived there for 16 years. My entire family lives there; my aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, brothers, sisters, and best friends. I played soccer, baseball, basketball, golf, and tennis. However, when I moved to Virginia, I was told I needed to pick one sport and put all my effort into it because the competition was a lot stronger. So from that advice, I chose the game I fell in love with from the very beginning, golf. The move was drastic. I went from a high school of 400, where everyone knew everything about anyone, to a school of over 4,000, where I was handed a map on the first day to find classes, and seeing new faces everyday. I didn’t know half of the kids in my graduating class as I watched them walk over the stage and receive their diploma. My graduating class was bigger than my entire high school in Maine; there were 650 kids in my graduating class. But honestly, the move didn’t bother me at all. I am a quick learner and I adapt to new situations very well. The move actually helped me in the long run, because I know there is more opportunity here to be as successful as I can be.
