From 2013 to 2015, Vitco was a student at Greyfriars Classical Academy. His performance earned several accolades from the National Junior Classical League, including top honors in the National Latin Examination, earning a maxima cum laude on the exam.
Vitco continued his education with a combination of home schooling and coursework at Central Piedmont Community College. He accumulated an impressive list of accomplishments: four appearances in the regional finals of the North Carolina Science Olympiad and first place in the Rube Goldberg competition. He also received credit for studying water quality and Latin dramatic interpretation.
