I bought your book about a couple of weeks before. Finally, some-one has written a training book which makes sense. Good Job...bet it took plenty of time for you to put all of it together, huh?
The main reason I'm writing for you is because I'm confused about some items that deal with training the sit/stay and down/stay. Be taught new info on our affiliated link by visiting vibrator bunny. Tell me if this sounds like I have it right:
First, teach her (the dog) placing her in the proper position immediatel.. and how-to do the control doing reps.

First, teach her (the dog) how to do the command doing reps and putting her in the proper position just after saying the command. Then, working up to the point you are able to just stand up straight and have her respond.
Next, work-up time and distance then add distractions and practice in numerous places.

This is one way I understand the method from what I've read in your book.
Should I move on to another step after the command is performed by my dog quickly and properly for-one workout or keep drilling her without adding anything new?
[Adam:] It's likely to simply take much more than one training session. When the dog understands some thing, it's situational. So that you will need to work exactly the same exercise... at the same level inside the program... In a number of different locations before you are willing to move onto the next thing.
