San Francisco, California, United States

I'm a native San Franciscan who likes to explore the city on foot and via MUNI (my goal is to ride every line from one end to the other). I love typefaces but hate Helvetica; enjoy the New York Times crossword but only on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays; and eagerly await the arrival of every new episode of Radiolab and Wait Wait…Don't Tell Me!, but couldn't care less about Car Talk or Prairie Home Companion. I've sung in a chorus since the age of nine, but have most enjoyed the past eight years with Musae during which I've performed pieces in languages such as Tamil, Latvian, and Old Church Slavonic and learned to love singing in ninths more than octaves. When I passed the Foreign Service Officer Test my mom gave me a card that read: "I'm fairly certain that given a cape and a nice tiara, I could save the world." I don't know if that's actually true, but I like to think that it is.
