Sean Frankino, LCSW, SEP, ESQ is an international educator and psychotherapist. He is on the Faculty of Somatic Experiencing International, the Parnell Institute for Attachment Focused EMDR, and the Trauma-Informed Psychodynamic Therapies Program at Columbia University Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research. He is also co-owner of Pneumaworks Therapy Group, a group psychotherapy practice focused on trauma resolution.
His clinical work and teaching focus on the application and development of experiential trauma resolution therapies to relational, developmental, and attachment psychotherapies. In general, he is interested in teaching about the various ways we as humans can integrate mind and body.
He currently teaches Somatic Experiencing in New York City, NY, Helsinki, Finland, Ann Arbor, Michigan, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and online. He teaches AF-EMDR in NYC and online. He has also presented on the integration of somatic therapies with EMDR at conferences and online.
While not teaching, Sean maintains a small private practice in NYC and online and supports helping professionals apply trauma resolution therapies to their way of working through individual and group consultation. He is also trained in Kathy Kain’s touch for trauma therapists and incorporates touch into his trauma resolution work.
