Shanequa Fryar, was born and raised in Springfield, MA. She holds a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Spelman College, and has dedicated years within the field of social services. Shanequa has experience as an Investigative Social Worker, Capitol Hill Staff member, and Coordinator for Hampden County CSEC/Human Trafficking Division, and brings invaluable expertise to every role she holds. Her community involvement includes membership in the Forest Park Civic Association, volunteering with Springfield Youth Athletics, and advocating for the Court Appointed Special Advocate program. As a devoted wife and mother, she has served as a US Army Family Readiness Group (FRG) Leader, where she supported military families during deployments.

With compassion and a commitment to service, Shanequa Fryar will bring a strong voice and unwavering dedication to the City Council, as she aims to represent Ward 6.
