Hi, I’m Shannon. I’m a Journalist living in New Jersey.

My educational and professional background are built on journalism, public relations and social media, where I have learned effective communications skills, which I apply to my growing career. Through experience, I have strong writing, analytical and research skills. Additionally, I am proficient in AP style writing and editing and all social media platforms.

My career has taken me from print newspaper to municipal government, pro-Bono social media consulting, public relations for a B2B marketing firm and now a staff writer at Business News Daily, a site that garners 3 million readers per month.

In my spare time I can be found on the mat practicing Brazilian jiu jitsu, spending time as a newlywed with my husband and our dog Tucker, reading, at the beach or a concert.
