Sarah Carpenter
Hey, y'all, I'm Sarah and this is me.
I'm a bookworm. A writer. A musician. An actress. A singer. But most importantly I'm a servant to Christ.
I've never been good with bios, but here I am, trying to look like I am.
I usually leave something short, kind of like the second line I put in. Usually that's all I'd do. But I feel like a biography is different from a bio. If that makes sense.
Biography makes me think of almost a blog post. It needs to be semi-long. A bio is just a few sentences...Right?
This is such a twenty-first century problem. 'I don't know what to put in my biography.'
What would somebody from the eighteenth century say about this? Probably something along the lines of, "Why would you be wasting your Saturday trying to talk about yourself when there is work to be done?"
Yeah. Something like that.
What's the purpose of these things anyway? A biography? Like, who actually takes the time to read these things? I know I don't. Not unless it catches my eye. Which it usually doesn't. So I usually don't.
I guess the way I'm talking could describe who I am. I mean, people say you can tell what a person is like within a few sentences. So according to those people, you knew what I'm like by the time I said 'I'm a bookworm'. You have serious skill. Congratulations. Your mom did well.
I don't know how to end this.
How do you end biographies?
Oh, yeah. I know.
"So, yeah. This is me."
Restate the thesis, people. Restate the thesis.
