A veteran of the Vietnam War and a former top recruiter for the United States Army, Sgt. David Hack currently serves as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for U.S. Wings, Inc., a Hudson, Ohio-based company specializing in the production of American-made leather jackets, coats, and other apparel. Sgt. Hack’s lifelong military ties afford him a unique degree of discernment when choosing cuts and materials for the clothing offered at U.S. Wings, and he serves as a movie industry consultant in the area of aviation flight gear.

Sgt. David Hack began his service career in 1957 with The United States Coast Guard before completing a two-year assignment supporting the Ranger Training Brigade in Fort Benning, Georgia. Following this, he joined the United States Army 1st Infantry Division and served his country in Lai Khe, Vietnam, before sustaining injuries during combat. After returning from duty overseas, Sgt. Hack went on to gain nationwide recognition as a top Army recruiter. His distinctive recruitment methods, which included a Sgt. Hack Wants You T-shirt and a custom Army jeep, helped to make him the United States’ No. 1 recruiter from 1969 to 1973.

Sgt. David Hack maintains affiliations with a number of professional and military associations. He is a Life Member of the 101st Airborne Division, the 1st Infantry Division, the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States (VFW), and the Ohio Association of Chiefs of Police. In 2011, he was formally presented with a Purple Heart, a Vietnam Service Medal, an Army Recruiter Badge, and other honors at a ceremony held by Ohio Congressman Steven LaTourette.
