Full-time nurse, part-time foodie and a fashion enthustiast, I founded the lifestyle blog Shabby Yet Chic in 2011 as a creative outlet. It snow-balled and I have happily been sharing my recipes, DIY projects and my budget friendly decorating tips ever since.

I was born and raised on the beautiful Prince Edward Island, Canada. That little island greatly shaped who I am today and I was so lucky to have grown up in a place that values kindness, surrounded by the ocean and by the friendliest people the east coast has to offer. After graduating from UPEI in 2008, I moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia to pursue a career in neonatal intensive care nursing. I have since dappled in pediatric intensive care nursing and am currently working as an air medical transport nurse. On my days off I enjoy messing about in the kitchen, slowly renovating my middle aged house and hunting for the perfect records to complete my vinyl collection. I also like hunting for furniture to re-purpose, testing out beauty products and I am never afraid to get my hands a little dirty.
