Shari-Beth Susskind is a Certified Holistic Health Practitioner and Nationally Certified Personal Trainer specializing in exercise science and nutrition. She holds certifications from the, American Council on Exercise, American Association of Drugless Practitioners, and Institute for Integrative Nutrition. She is a cancer survivor. As a wife and mother of three, she sees one option, to go from strength to strength living and teaching others how to find success in health and wellness through nutrition and personal training.
Shari-Beth has always had an incredible drive to do her best, both for herself and her clients. She knows this first hand, because her success is built on a strong foundation in education, years of hands on experience and mostly the unexpected turn of events causing her to become her own client.
While training for a triathlon, Shari-Beth suffered a bicycle accident that lead to many surgeries and months of rehabil-itation. As she explains, however, “"Most important it gave me time, time that I needed to rethink the path that I had chosen."” Having enjoyed working for a well established and highly recognized training studio, she felt the desire to create something of her own, bringing together best practices and taking them in a new direction focused on the entire person from a combined training, nutrition and mental point of view. As she started to heal from the accident she became committed to the journey of reinventing herself, adding a Life Coach certification to her growing list of personal training achievements.
As Shari-Beth was feeling at the top of her game having successfully coached herself through a huge challenge and come out feeling great she was dealt another obstacle. She
was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer.
In her words:
"Ok, just another challenge. Again, I just wanted to feel like myself at the end of this newest drama. I consider myself very lucky. In fact, those were the exact words my doctor used when he told me. They had caught the cancer at an early stage. But I still needed a radical hysterectomy. Once again I needed to set some goals."
The great news is that she is now cancer free. Every day she is dedicated to the things that make her who she is, and has an incredible passion for guiding her clients
