I was raised in a small city, called Ivanhoe, NC, which is near Wilmington, NC. I graduated May 2002, from Union High School, in Clinton, NC. Graduated top of my class with a 4.3 GPA. In the fall, I attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, majoring in Exercise and Sports Science, from 2002-2006. I moved to Raleigh, NC in 2009, for work and to think about a career change. I started working as a Habilitation Tech in 2007 in the Mental Health industry, but in 2012 I finally decided to transition to my first love, Nursing. My mother is a Nurse, and my roots and what I was currently going through, made me decide to return to school once again.

I started out at Durham Technical Community College in January 2013, settling on receiving an Associates in Nursing. But In January 2014, I transitioned to NCCU, and I believe I made the right decision for my future endeavors. Currently my future plans are to become a Physician Assistant. I just love medicine!

I am currently a member of the Annie Day Shepherd’s Scholars, a woman's group at NCCU, in which I really enjoy being a part of. I'm also a member of Tau Sigma and Golden Key International Honour Society. I currently hold a 3.7 GPA, and I also volunteer with the Special Olympics here in Raleigh every summer. I enjoy traveling in my spare time, cooking, and reading novels. I try to have a well diverse background, and I enjoy learning new things.
