Jonée is a rare native Angelino who lives within a few miles of her birthplace. Although she spent several years as a full-time teacher, she has been acting off and on since she was a teenager. Last summer she starred in the West Coast Premier of "It Must Be Him" at the Edgemar Theatre in Santa Monica and starred as Carmen in "Real Women Have Curves" at Casa0101 in East LA. She received her BA in Theatre from UNLV where she played Rosalia in West Side Story. She has also appeared in the musicals Grease, Annie Get Your Gun, They're Playing Our Song, My Fair Lady, and Showboat. As an actor she has been featured in such TV shows as Medium, Lie to Me, Saving Grace, The Community, Bones, Southland and Luck. She once stood in for Lupe Ontiveros in the film "Days of Wrath" starring Jesse Garcia. Ironically Ms Ontiveros played the role of Carmen in both the film and stage versions of "Real Women Have Curves." Jonée has appeared in more than 30 short films and recently signed with The Stander Group.

In here spare time, Jonee volunteers for NAMI Glendale. Because she has a brother who suffers from Schizophrenia, she teaches family education about Mental Illness and has written several articles for the NAMI Gamigram. She trains volunteers for NAMI California to teach the Family to Family course and as Support group facilitators. In 2005, she was awarded the Family Member of the Year award by the Los Angeles County Mental Health Commission. She continues to teach Family to Family courses in Glendale and advocates for change in the Mental Health system as well as fights to reduce stigma.
