Shaena Doyle is a domestic violence survivor, mother, and national advocate whose life story exposes the hidden dangers of high-wealth abuse and systemic failure. In her early twenties, she entered a world of extreme privilege after marrying a wealthy businessman connected to elite social circles. Behind the façade of luxury, status, and financial power, Shaena endured years of escalating domestic violence, coercive control, and substance-fueled abuse.

When she attempted to leave the relationship, the danger intensified. Despite multiple restraining orders and repeated requests for protection, her concerns were dismissed. Her abuser continued violating court orders until his actions escalated into a criminal conspiracy. While incarcerated in the Contra Costa County Jail, he attempted to hire fellow inmates to murder Shaena, offering money to have her killed or permanently silenced. He later pleaded no contest to conspiracy-related charges and was sentenced to state prison.

As a result, Shaena and her two young sons were placed into California State Witness Protection, where they lived in hiding for more than 15 years. Forced to change names, locations, and identities, she lost all financial security and stability, transitioning from a life of wealth to one of constant survival as a single mother protecting her children.

Today, Shaena is reclaiming her voice through her advocacy platform, The Luxury Lie. She is a powerful advocate for survivors of domestic violence, stalking, coercive control, and sexual violence, as well as women and children forced into hiding or financially destroyed while escaping abuse. Through writing, public speaking, media engagement, and educational outreach, Shaena works to expose the realities of high-wealth abusers, demand accountability, and push for meaningful systemic reform.
