Dr. Shahram Shirkhani is a founding Partner at the International Law Firm of Shirkhani & Alavi. In this capacity, Dr. Shahram Shirkhani leverages significant experience in commercial law, banking, and finance to guide both domestic and foreign businesses operating in the European and Middle Eastern financial markets. Before engaging in his current responsibilities, he worked as a Partner at International Law & Trade Consultants, a firm that he established to provide financial advisory services. While with the firm, he shepherded transactions undertaken by large clients such as MAHAN AIR, Pars Oil Company, and Iran Khodro. The latter client, a major Iranian automobile manufacturer, secured a loan program with the Standard Bank of London due to the efforts of Dr. Shahram Shirkhani. His firm also collaborated with major industry leaders located in neighboring counties like the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
Devoted to education, Dr. Shahram Shirkhani additionally acts as a tenured Professor of Law at the Islamic Azad University. Relaying his first-hand experience, he lectures on a variety of topics related to international business and law, including commercial arbitration. He has led courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. A former student at the Islamic University in Tehran, he received a PhD in International Financial Law.
Dr. Shirkhani has also functioned as an International Legal Advisor for Iran's Foreign Investment Authority. Among his responsibilities, he arranged financing for major players in the country's oil industry—funding that fueled the development of numerous new facilities and business initiatives.
