Early Life & Background:

Born in Mardan (KPK), Shah Sawar developed an early interest in storytelling and community-focused journalism. His background from the region contributes to a grounded and practical perspective in his reporting and media work.

Journalism Journey:

He began his media career in 2018, working with local platforms including Malakand TV, where he gained experience in field reporting and regional news coverage.

He also worked with MG News as a Video Editor and Reporter, further strengthening his practical experience in both content creation and field reporting.

In 2021, he enrolled in MSc Mass Communication at the Virtual University of Pakistan to strengthen his academic and professional understanding of media studies.

Professional Experience:

In 2023, he joined Roze News Head Office as an intern and was later inducted into the newsroom team as a Ticker Editor. During his tenure until 2026, he contributed to headline writing, ticker editing, newsroom coordination, and content refinement.

He also worked with ABN – Ausaf Broadcasting Network as an Assistant Producer (Intern), where he gained experience in production planning, scripting, and newsroom operations.

In 2026, he joined HUM News as an Assistant Producer, where he is involved in real-time ticker editing and newsroom coordination.

Alongside mainstream media, he is actively involved in healthcare and corporate media, contributing to digital communication strategies, branding, and content development.

He is an Associate Member of the Islamabad Press Club and serves as a Council Member of the Rawalpindi Islamabad Union of Journalists, a unit affiliated with the Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists.
