About twenty six years of teaching experience in academics and software industry. The primary technical areas of interest are Microprocessors, Computer Organization, Operating Systems, Distributed Computing, Software testing and Data Warehousing. Have guided many projects at the undergraduate and postgraduate level in these areas. On the non technical front the areas of expertise are teaching related: pedagogy and andragogy, microteaching, active and cooperative learning techniques, mentoring, and counseling, soft skills include communication, team work, goal setting, decision making, time management etc. The training sessions have incorporated a variety of active learning and participatory learning techniques like group discussions, open book assignments, seminars, mini projects etc. which has made the Teaching learning process interesting and a value addition to the students.
Senior Member, IEEE, life member: ISTE and IWSA and a resource person at various STTPs and training programs for faculty and students of several engineering colleges.
Published many Technical, Management and Teaching- Learning related papers in International and National conferences.
Recipient of the Best Teacher Award, Rotaract Club Sion, Mumbai and Best Polytechnic Teacher Award- 2001, Maharashtra State, recommended by The Indian Society for Technical Education, New Delhi. She has also authored books for Oxford University Press- a text book In GTU, Vipul Publications and Reliable Publications.
