Conservation Technologist, building systems to better protect our planet and it's wildlife.
I am a Explorer Fellow at the National Geographic Society, focused on building and deploying technology for conservation projects globally. In the next few months, these projects will send me to climb glaciers in Canada, dive reefs in Belize, explore a sacred boiling river in the Peruvian Amazon, and protect elephants from poachers in Angola, Namibia, and Botswana.
I am also the Principal Engineer for National Geographic's Into The Okavango project, where we bring live data visualizations and storytelling from scientific expeditions in the field.
I previously spent 10 years as a rocket scientist building spacecraft. You can read more about that transition to my work now in this Wall Street Journal profile.
