Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Suken Shah, MD, serves as division chief of the Spine and Scoliosis Center and clinical fellowship director at Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware. A pediatric orthopaedic surgeon at the hospital since 2000, his clinical practice focuses on conditions such as early onset scoliosis, adolescent idiopathic scoliosis, and spondylolisthesis. Also interested in the advancement of minimally invasive surgery, Dr. Suken Shah has researched and innovated advanced spinal deformity surgery techniques. At conferences and seminars around the world, Dr. Shah regularly lectures on the treatment of spinal disorders, with recent appearances including participation in panel discussions and demonstration of surgical procedures at the annual Advanced Spinal Tutorial in San Diego, California, Program Chair and multiple lectures delivered at the Scoliosis Research Society (SRS) 48th Annual Meeting in Lyon, France, the 21st International Meeting on Advanced Spine Techniques (IMAST) in Valencia, Spain, and the 8th Elevating Best Practices in Spine Meeting in Qingdao, China.

Dr. Shah received an MD from the Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University. Through Thomas Jefferson University, he completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Rothman Institute and, subsequently, fulfilled a fellowship in pediatric orthopaedics and scoliosis at Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children.
