Shailendra Chaturvedi

I build the infrastructure that keeps global enterprises running — securely, at scale, and in the cloud. With 17+ years in IT infrastructure and cloud operations, I currently lead India's IT Infrastructure & Cloud function at Nomura, one of Asia's largest financial services firms. My work spans hybrid cloud architecture, multi-datacenter operations, cloud migration, security compliance, and building engineering teams that deliver. Over the course of my career I've led cloud transformation programs across financial services, healthcare, and technology sectors — working with AWS, Azure, and OpenStack environments, managing multi-million dollar infrastructure budgets, and designing systems that meet the highest compliance standards including PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, HIPAA, SOC 1/2, and NIST. I've also held AVP roles at Equifax and Successive Technologies, and Cloud Architect positions at Wipro and IBM — giving me a broad perspective across both enterprise IT and consulting. Beyond my operational role, I hold an IICA Certification as an Independent Director, which positions me to contribute strategic technology oversight at the board level for listed and unlisted companies. What drives me: simplifying complexity, building resilient teams, and turning infrastructure from a cost centre into a business enabler.
