Shakevia DeWalt

Shakevia DeWalt was born and raised in South Carolina. She is originally from Newberry, South Carolina. She is a senior Mass Communication major at Winthrop University, in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Her concentration is in broadcast and her minor is theater. After earning her Bachelor's Degree, Shakevia plans to attend grad school to earn her Masters in Creative Producing with a concentration in Film Production. Her ultimate goal in life is to write and produce her own television shows and films.

She is an active member in the Gamma Beta Phi Honors society. She is an active member in the Xi Beta Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority on her campus. Shakevia is currently interning for the Big South Network for Winthrop's Athletic Department, where she work behind the scenes filming games and working on graphics for the live streaming of the soccer, volleyball and basketball games.

She is a fan of movies, programming, writing scripts, making vision boards and learning how to cook. She also loves to travel. She have visited a few countries such as Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Aruba, and Grand Turk.
