Her areas of expertise include Financial and Management Accounting, Audit and Tax Management, Oil and Gas Consultancy, Word-processing, Spreadsheets, Graphics, and providing training and support as a consultant for Peachtree, Sage line 50, Tally accounting, Quickbooks and Sage Pastel Evolution (ERP) Accounting Software. Shakirat has also developed and written numerous training manuals for her clients.

She heads the department of International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS) Training, Implementation & Conversion.
