Shakiyla Jamison was born in Harrisburg, PA and was raised in Rochester, NY by her grandmother who made porcelain dolls. Shakiyla Jamison believes that her work is a mixture of all the things she is interested in. She takes elements of photography, mythology, science, traveling and fashion to create her prints, sculpture, and paintings, which are said to be reminiscent of the rococo era. I'm also interested in learning more about Art Direction and any art related field.

In my spare time I like to watch Netflix, The History Channel, look up historical dress and costumes and take self-portraits.
