Shakora is an aspiring journalist studying mass communications with a theater minor. Although she has a concentration in print journalism she plans to pursue a broadcasting career. After completing her degree program at Winthrop University next year she plans to obtain either her MBA or Masters in Marketing (preferably international). Shakora writes, edits, interviews and takes pictures.

This Spring 2015 semester Shakora studied abroad in Dublin, Ireland for 4 months to complete her mass communications electives and learn about Irish life and culture. Upon meeting new people she was able to intern at nationally recognized cultural newspaper Metro Éireann. Both experiences solidified her ultimate goals of reporting within the US and abroad.

Her dream jobs are to become an anchor with NBC or ABC News outlets, own her own Wedding event planning and photography businesses, mentor students, publish books and found a leading national magazine.
