I am a Texas-based writer and former editor of several home design publications, including Signature Kitchens & Baths and Innovative Home magazines. Five years ago I resigned from my editor’s desk to pursue freelance and my hardest, most rewarding job yet: full-time motherhood. My editorial work has been featured extensively in the aforementioned publications, as well as in a variety of other regional and national magazines. My portfolio includes an array of topics, including art, architecture, interior design, fashion, faith, celebrity features and the local food movement. Additionally, I am experienced in crafting marketing and catalog content for a variety of corporate clients. I am also proficient in editing in accordance with AP style. Personally, I enjoy cooking with organic and local produce, reading voraciously, interior decorating, gardening, perusing blogs and the frequent vanilla latte. I also have an avid appreciation for the visual arts, and I relish any opportunity to dabble in photography, including the occasional family or newborn photo session. I'd choose linen over silk any day; I'm infatuated with reclaimed wood; and the older I get, the more I crave the bucolic countryside over a bustling cityscape. More than anything, I relish time spent with my husband and little ones, and I desire to honor God.
