On April 4th, 1995 my mother gave birth to a Queen. A Queen who will go through many obstacles, but will overcome them with faith and determination. I am very confident, however God has taught me to be humble with every decision and move that I make. I choose to walk by faith and not by sight. I am 20 years old, and within these 20 years of life, I have learned that I have to work hard for everything that I want and desire. I am very family oriented, because my family is my foundation. They motivate me to strive for the best in life. I am a junior at North Carolina Central University, majoring in Criminal Justice. With my determination and hunger for success, I will be graduating in the year of 2017. I love life, even the tough moments, because the hard times are my lessons learned. I learn these lessons in order to be the young woman that I am today. My name is Shalesia Lide. I am solid. My foundation is solid. My future is solid.
