Shalmali Jadhav

Shalmali Jadhav is the Founder of unique social enterprise Empathy For You that works in
spreading awareness about mental health and suicide prevention. She is the Founder President at
Letters of Empathy wherein letters are written to the people who are depression fighters. She
uses storytelling, advocacy and digital media to drive a positive impact.
As an inspiring bath breaker, Shalmali is widely recognized and featured in various social media
initiatives, Radiocity and local newspapers.
Shalmali is an action oriented leader who believes in leading with Empathy. She is the youngest
to be chosen as a Member at International Youth Council by United Nations and now she is the
one who is leading the Indian Subcontinent. To her credit, she had been awarded as a
Changemaker from YouthLead.org.
Shalmali is a passionate changemaker and a young ambassador for Mental Health. Additionally,
she is a public speaker and a captivating Storyteller who has been invited as a Keynote Speaker
to share her inspiring story and insights by various institutions. To her credit, she has recently
started a petition to the government asking to include SEL (Social and Emotional Learning) as a
subject in the curriculum of schools and colleges. She was recently invited for a Youth Dialogue
with Chief Administrative Secretary of Kenya for #KenyaIsMe Youth Dialogue. She has
recently given her Ted Circle Talk at TedxGoldenBridge. Shalmali will now be speaking at The
International Youth Conclave organized by Girl Up Zia, under United Nations as a Panelist
Speaker.
She has embarked on the journeys as a founding member, mentor, and an advisor with different
social initiatives. To add to this, she has been invited for many international conferences
including Harvard Conference - Massachusetts, Harvard Asian Conference - Kazakhstan,
Harvard US India Initiative - Mumbai, Future City Summit - Hongkong, International Youth
Leadership Conference - Malaysia. As her majors, she has successfully completed a Research
Fellowship from Aarhus University, Denmark.
She feels deeply about women empowerment and has taken up numerous initiatives regarding
the same. Her go-to motto of life is, "If you start, you'll finish it off well!"
