If I do not write to empty my mind, I go mad – Lord Byron
A Malaysian of Indian descent, she prefers to look at her homeland with affection and horror from afar.
She trained as a geneticist and the years of pipetting and staring at DNA sequencing data have left her with in an insane ability to scrutinize people, sometimes in a rude manner, in her attempts to figure out their genetic make up.
She has a coterie of very nerdie conversation killers which normally involve difficult sounding words like gene anomalies and swears that she would have been best friends with Hardy and Weinberg.
A child of the world, she now resides in Luxembourg where the wintry summers continue to inspire her. She has just published her collection of short stories, Elephant's Breath. She blogs for Angloinfo Luxembourg, guest blogs on other sites, is currently working on her novel, A Time for Angels, volunteers with Worldreader, is a certified laughter yoga leader, loves experimenting in her kitchen, and reads voraciously. Take a deep breath now, and if you can, laugh. It is good for you.
She is afraid of kiwis (the fruit), hates chocolates, loves marzipan and champagne (but not necessarily together), is convinced she must have been a dog in her past life, prefers winters to summers, and nothing inspires her more that a good conversation. Drop her a line.
