My name is Shameer, I am a photographer, video creator, adventurer and conservationist. I live in London. My mission is to hike, mountain bike or whatever it takes to find the hidden gems of the British Isles so that I can bring you on my journey with the most beautiful photographs and storytelling.

I’m passionate about trees and nature, and bringing them to life through photography is my conservation. I use photography and video as tools to influence behaviour by giving a voice to trees who have no voice.

I want people to see trees and nature (in pictures) everywhere so that I can change their behaviour towards trees. I want to bring the voice of trees, the story of trees and nature into homes through my photographs.

Perhaps it is because there has always been a deep connection between forests and woods and my inner being. Their shadow is my shadow.

Photography is a fascinating art and I know this because when I photograph nature, landscapes or the woods, in that moment it’s only something I see, it’s my view. It’s something that I can bring back to show people what I’ve seen, the beautiful world we live in.

I feel like I constantly get the greatest gift when I get to travel, hike and explore the woodlands and forests of the British Isles. However, it means nothing if I can’t share it with the world.

If I can show you these photographs, captivate your emotions, then perhaps you will also connect to your own sacred nature.

I want to show how sacred trees and forests are to us. I want to capture their very essence. The need to bring more harmony between trees and us is central for us to equally win in this day. If there’s no harmony, we both lose and climate change wins.

Along with conservation, I’m also campaigning for ways to encourage the Asian, Black and minority ethnic community to get outdoors, and that nature and the great outdoors is an inclusive experience for all.

Why? For the reason that, in many years that I have been experiencing and exploring the great outdoors, the lack of diversity is genuinely disturbing. One of my project goals is to create more awareness for the inclusion of all races and disabilities to the outdoors.
