Shamim Nsubuga is the founder and Consultant Lead at Strategic and Agile, a Human Capital Recruitment, Training and Consultancy Company that specializes in providing strategic HR solutions to businesses across various industries.

Her passion for people and Human Resources (HR) drives the business by thoughtfully challenging the industry status quo, identifying and formulating sustainable workforce strategies and determining the functional processes necessary to meet client goals.

Shamim's career journey began in the United Kingdom, where she honed her skills as a financial and mortgage advisor with the RBS Group and Bank of Ireland UK. Her freelance HR consulting work in various sectors across Africa, alongside her commitments in the UK, prepared her for the establishment of Strategic and Agile in 2015. In 2017, she relocated to Ghana, driven by her vision to reshape Africa’s business narrative through HR.

Shamim's expertise in HR is a culmination of her broad spectrum of experience and global business management acumen. She has successfully led transformational change initiatives, implemented innovative employee engagement strategies, and managed high-profile recruitment drives. Her ability to leverage these skills to bring out the best in people and deliver business transformation plans is a testament to her competence and effectiveness.

Shamim is a chartered fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and holds a postgraduate degree in Human Resource Management and Development from Middlesex University, where she specialized in organizational behaviour and strategic HR planning. Her academic background has equipped her with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary to excel in the HR field.

Outside of strategic and agile, her interests include family, tennis, music, and travel.

Shamim's philanthropic endeavours extend beyond her professional life. She is a passionate advocate for the education and development of African youth, a cause she champions with unwavering dedication. As a mentor to final-year university students studying HR, she invests her time and energy in shaping the future of HR. Her keen interest in HR research and development further underscores her commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
