Shamra Martin
Ostrander, Minnesota
I am a woman who is coming alive and loves all things natural. Living fully alive as I pursue organic church, upcycling pallets with my hippy husband, essential oils, homemade skin products and home products, having my own business as a dog groomer.
Born the daughter of a preacher, I grew up in the instutional church, gained a degree from a bible college and ministered for 10 years in a church as a children's minister. In 2011 my world was flipped. My experience with being the church and who Jesus is has never been the same.
In 2005 I married my hippie farmer, Dale, and moved to rural SE Minniesota. Check out this urban girls life in the country as a new wife, step-mum and farmer at my blog Stories from the Farm.
In 2007 we started a goat dairy and grew it to 137 goats in 2012. We shut it down then and are moving into other dreams. We started a pallet upcycling business to sell items for the home made from pallets. Hoping to travel to craft fairs. Really good stuff.
Shamra's Full life is my journey into all that is natural. I have found that it is impossible to seperate our emotions, physical body and spiritual self. They are all are connected and if one part is suffering all is suffering. Check out both my facebook page and blog to learn more about it.
I have now started my own in home dog grooming business called "Sham's Poo Grooming and Pet Services". It is a in home, mobile and portable business. I come to customers homes and set up in their home. Their dog can be groomed in the comfort of their home. I can do this when my customer is at work or at home. They don't have to take off just to get the dog groomed or if a customer has driving restrictions it allows them to take care of their pet.
I live in SE MN with my husband, Dale and my step-daughters, Elizabeth and Kathleen, five dogs and my cat, Ody.
