Shana Parvin Begum
Yoga and Mindfulness in London, United Kingdom
Hi, I’m Shana. I share yoga and mindfulness with children and I love it.
I am a fan of philosophy, philanthropy, and youth work.
I have a strong interest in pastoral care, in particular with children's wellbeing. I've worked with schools on careers advice and served as a volunteer Welfare Officer at a FA Standard Chartered grassroots football club.
My background is in media production and I still get a buzz out of being creative in any way.
I love percussion instruments and have played the tambourine for 6 hours during kirtan!
(call and response mantra meditation music)
I also play the harmonium.
Spirituality is a big part of my life and I have a particular interest in interfaith connections. Although I've grown up as a practising Muslim, I've always sought associations with a broad range of religious customs and beliefs.
I offer services in Unitarian settings and I am initiated in the Bhakti Yoga tradition with the spiritual name Sri Devi.
I'm also a trained Celebrant.
I like dressing up to take geeky photos! (as displayed here...)
Blessings of peace, love and light to all.
