Rizon – BIOGRAPHY
(pronounced “rise on”)

Rizon is a purpose-driven Christian artiste and is regarded as one of the most inspirational artistes to come out of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. His music is all about the Spirit-led message, wrapped in sweet Caribbean music – soca, reggae and dancehall with international appeal.

Rizon cuts at the listener with real songs that evoke real emotions. His debut album has spurned hits like ‘Preserve’, ‘Miracle’ and ‘No Entry’. Since his album launch in June of 2012, Rizon has had the opportunity to perform before thousands from all over the world.

Rizon’s heart for the youth and his ability to merge music, with life changing projects has had a major impact in his homeland. The ‘No Entry’ Campaign championed by Rizon in 2012 was a resounding success and demonstrates the power of positive music on the youth. The highlight of this campaign came with the international exposure and usage of ‘No Entry’ in various corners of the world. ‘No Entry’ was used as a theme at an International Conference held in San Antonio Texas, where Rizon had the opportunity to perform before 18,000 people at the AT&T Center, home of the ‘San Antonio Spurs’. His dream of taking his music to the world is being realized everyday as already for 2014, Rizon is booked for a month long Caribbean Tour to be followed by a three week United Kingdom Tour in the first half of the year. Rizon will be attending the Marlin Gospel Music Awards held in the Bahamas later this year, where he was nominated in 4 separate categories. Rizon is also currently hard at work in studio recording his second album, carded for release late 2014. The first release from his upcoming sophomore album entitled ‘Higher Level’ is already being requested regionally and building quite a buzz.
