Shanea Duckett

I'm Shanea, and I am currently a student at Camden Country College. My major is Human Services, and I'm aiming to became a Social Worker and Behavior Anaylst. I work with Adults with Developmental Disabilites, and that work has made me fall in love with the helping professions. I am passionate about helping adults and children who have disabilities. My desire is to change the human services field by fighting for the rights of adults and children who need assistance to live independently.

My goal is to receive an BA in Human Services Social Worker at CCC and transfer to Rowan or Rutgers University to receive an Master's in Public Health. I want to own an agency or agencies to help parents, providers and others whose heart's desire to help adults and childern.

I am currently working in the mental health field at both Durand Academy Day Program as a Adult Training Service Instructor and Deveruex Foundation as a Residental Counselor. I love working both jobs because the different settings teach me how adults with development disabilities learn and manage. I know I can make a diffference for these individuals because I listen, communicate and observe the indivuduals their strengths and weaknesses.
