Reporter for Florida's 89.1 WUFT-FM. Fan of all sports, especially hockey, soccer, baseball and tennis. Star Wars, Marvel Comics Enthusiast.

He was born in Coral Springs Florida to my two wonderful parents, Stuart and Gail. Growing up he always wanted to read; he would read the sports section of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel every morning when he was in kindergarten. He moved to Boca Raton when he was 8 years old and bounced around from one school to another until he got to high school. At Spanish River High School he lettered in multiple varsity sports and was fortunate enough to learn from the experienced, skilled faculty there.

After four years at Spanish River he was accepted to the University of Florida where he will be graduating with a bachelor's degree in Telecommunications. At UF's College of Journalism and Communications he was able to learn from yet another incredible faculty, and gained valuable skills from my many reporting classes. He also gained real world experience in the reporting industry working for Gainesville's NPR affiliate and ESPN Radio affiliate.
He earned more valuable experience during a summer internship with the Gainesville Television Network, working with talented reporters such as Catherine Awasthi and Laura Christmas, both of whom now work at WHNT in Huntsville, Alabama.

Shane has also recently decided to attend law school in lieu of searching immediately for a job in reporting. He was accepted to Florida International University's School of Law (and currently waiting on others) and he hopes to begin the road to a successful career as an environmental lawyer.
