I don't wanna be heard, I wanna be listened to #BuckeyeNation

1. I picked the Relator as my Strength. To me, a relator is someone who can see where other people are coming from. They understand everybody has their own problems they're dealing with and you are someone who senses that and is there for them. I identify with this because I've always felt like I understood people and I've always wanted to help others. It impacts my social and personal life because I have friends who come talk to me about very serious life situations because they know I will be someone who will listen and won't judge them for what has happened.

2. One of my FYSS series was for suicide prevention. I learned techniques to help people and at the end I got a certificate. One thing I learned was to not beat around the bush. Asking someone if they are thinking about suicide won't push them to it because chances are they have already thought about it. It will help me because if I have a friend who I can tell has been down a lot I will know how to act around them, what to say, and what steps to take to help them through a difficult time.

3. The time management activities allowed me to see all of the extra time I have to get homework and other important things done. I had never done that before so it opened my eyes. It will help me in the future to be able to easily get things done on time so I don't procrastinate.
