Shani started her first business in the construction sector and co-owned plumbing companies for 14 years. As a former Director of Special Education, Vice Principal, and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) specialist in public schools, she crossed paths with Computer Science while working on an educational computer game design project. This led to an interest in Computer Programming, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Natural Language Processing, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Machine Learning. Currently, she is in a Master of Science in Data Science program completing her 2nd Master's degree.
She began her computer programming journey in 2017. Her programming and scripting language studies include Python, R, SQL, Java, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Go, and C++.
She has a Bachelor's Degree in Communication; a Master's Degree in Special Education; a Moderate to Severe Education Specialist Credential; two Project Management Certificates; and a Software Product Management Certificate.
She is also a member of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society and Computer Society.
