I would describe myself as a bit of a mavrick who seems to enjoy choosing the untrodden path in an attempt to find my calling. Still searching after all these year but hey it has been a fun ride. Have never been much of the academic kind but have not felt held back because of it. Have seriously dabbled with a number of things over the past 20 odd years. Selling dreams in the early part of my career with Advertising and Hospitality. Got tired of doing that and decided to see what the 'real india' was all about while working for an NGO working with Dalit Women and Tibetans. Was a reality check to see how even access to clean drinking water and shelter was a challenge ( i suspect it still is). The urge of working with cricketers took over me subsequently and I worked in sports celebrity management, hob nobbing with and sharing elevators with 'stars'. Offcourse that phase passed and I discovered the Danes. For the past 8 years I have been working for Invest in Denmark, a part of the Danish Ministry of Foriegn affairs. Strangely my early sporting heroes were all Danes (Morten Frost Hansen, Peter Schmichael and Michael Laudrup). I have recently discovered a new one, Mikael Hansen (handball). Enjoying myself but as always eager and restless for more !! And I must also tell you that inbetween all this I have dabbled with adveture sports, taking kids around the Annapurna mountains and done a couple of moutaineering courses. Call it a journey of discovery, call it whatever you like but it has been one hell of a ride and I am still enjoying it.
