Shannen Wiles Van Dyke

I am a 3rd year Journalism student at Southampton Solent University. I did a foundation degree in Journalism in Norwich which lasted for two years and I enjoyed it so much that I decided to get my BA through a top-up course.

During my time studying Journalism I have learnt to write for a number of news sources such as magazines, newspapers, online, radio and television. It was through my studying I found I most enjoy writing for magazines.

I feel confident conducting interviews either face to face or over the phone and have developed these skills through work experience and university.

As part of my course I studied Law, Politics, Photojournalism, Freelance and Travel journalism so I feel I have covered a number of important areas.

In my spare time I like to go to gigs, blog, eat out, watch films and read.
