Shann Hart

As one of the nation's most passionate college coaches, Shann Hart has left an impressionable mark on the collegiate game of women's basketball through her commitment and determination to better the game throughout her life career as a coach. As a mentor to many young assistant and current head coaches, Hart was instrumental in the legislative and the progression of women collegiate basketball as she completed stints as a board member of the WBCA and on the board for the Black Coaches and Administrators.

Currently, Shann Hart is Owner/CEO of Shann Hart Development Enterprises, Sports Personality & Commentator and Co-Partner/Executive Director of Basic Prep Academy. The Former IUPUI Head Coach completed her seventh season in 2010. During her tenure, the Jaguars' program achieved accolades near the top of The Summit League when she arrived in 2004. Shann Hart's reputation for rebuilding programs has provided her with the opportunity to revamp three different programs and by year three of each of the programs, reaching conference semifinals or better.
