I teach clients about fabrics in the commercial marketplace. There are so many new technical enhancements and blends of yarns, it can get rather confusing. What type of fabric should I use in this application? Or can I bleach this fabric? Or can I use this fabric as a drapery? In commercial spaces there are many fire codes and application codes one needs to meet. It is an exciting time in the world of fabrics as far as recycling goes, as well. What once was a plastic water bottle has now become polyester yarn. Amazing and cool. On a personal note, I love being outdoors in my garden. I recently purchased a little house whose gardens had been untended for 4 years. I have been restoring and enhancing the gardens while learning so much about the various plants which thrive in the area, including poison ivy! And of course my true love in life is animals...all sizes and shapes. I have 2 dogs Zoey and Zach (pictured here) and 2 cats Sammy and Colette who prefer not to pictured. I have also volunteered at local animal shelters and from time to time have helped with fostering and rescue groups.
