Hello there!!

Thank you for taking the time to visit my About.me page. I hope it sheds some insight about who I am today and what drives me to succeed.

I am a transplant to the Aiken, South Carolina area from Central New Jersey. After graduating high school I joined the United States Air Force for a short time before returning back to New Jersey in 2004 to begin a career in Human Services. I worked for the Monmouth County Social Services for 5 years earning positions from Clerk Typist to a Human Service Specialist 2. In 2009 my husband, children and I made the move to SC because of my husband's job opportunity. This move has given me the chance to finally chase after my dream of Nursing.

Due to limited funding, I began my career goals taking continuing education courses in hopes to find a position and earn money to support my family while going to school. My first step was the Certified Nurse's Aide Program.

I graduated from a CNA course on July 2, 2011 at AMAN Institute, Inc. as Valedictorian of my class. Beginning August 16, 2011 I will be attending Aiken Technical College taking Phlebotomy and ECG courses and plan to continue on to the RN Program in 2013 as I will have completed my pre-requisites at that time.

I am truly excited about this chapter in my life as I feel that I am finally on the path chosen for me. I believe in integrity, trust, empathy and compassion. Success and my children are what drives me. I want to be someone they admire and look up to. I also want to make a difference in others' lives by caring for them when they are the most vulnerable. Treating others with dignity and respect is MOST important when they depend on others to care for them.
