Throughout my entire life, I have learned that nothing is free in life. My mother taught me how to have a good work ethic in life and as soon as I turned 16, I got my first job working in the kitchen at a restaurant called The Red Pepper. I worked with the salads and desserts. My mother was the one who inspired me to become a chef, so as soon as i graduated from high school, i went to Trident Technical college to obtain my culinary arts degree. During those fours years of college i worked at a couple different restaurants, Oscars of Summerville, which is known for their shrimp and grits, and Grill 225 where i got my first taste of high-end desserts and pastries. During my time there, i learned many different cooking and baking techniques. I learned the most from the sous chef, Atom Miller. Not only is he a talented chef, he is a great friend. He introduced me to ACN and has gotten me excited about this wonderful business and I know that it will provide a better life for me. I am currently working at Publix as a cake decorator and I am absolutely loving it and I am sure that one day it will become a paid hobby for myself. But like I said, nothing in life is given, effort must be put in to make it happen. The journey of a thousand miles always begins with the first step
