ABOUT SHAN

Shannon Cartwright is a first year student at the University of Florida, a server at OAK Restaurant, a BANGS brand ambassador, an Executive Director of the Green Greeks Organization, and a member of Delta Delta Delta. After years of experience behind the camera, writing in news stories in a journal, furthering her knowledge on sustainable living, and so much more Shannon knows the aspects needed to capture one's attention and inform her audience in the most attractive and compelling way. It is truly how well you connect your hobby for reporting with your passion to save the planet to successfully do what you love and do execute it flawlessly.

Shannon’s passion for T.V. Production developed around age eight, and aimed to turn on the television to her appearing on SNL or the news. Her journey has led her to work behind the camera, directing and producing environmental documentaries and stories that she hopes can enlighten the world. Shannon was chosen to produce, direct, and star in the Nike Motivational Short-Film and Chick-Fil-A Fall Stampede Short-Film. She assisted running the social media Instagram account for The UF Tab recently. Furthermore, Shannon anchored the T.V. Production Morning Show, and served as crew leader, while continuing to produce short news stories around the campus and community. Shannon supports organizations within her community and on school campus that promote a sustainable and healthy lifestyle. Lastly she recently secured the position as Executive Director/President of a new organization she founded at the University of Florida.

Shannon is an awarded South Tampa of Commerce Scholarship winner, and received a Proud Plant Panther Recognition Award for her work on the school campus. She also was nominated and chosen as a Junior Panhellenic as a Service Delegate for her chapter.

Shannon is currently in the process in receiving her Telecommunication- News Production degree from the University of Florida.
