When I chose to go to school for massage therapy, I didn’t know that I would find my passion. I had planned on it being a temporary job to get me through the next few years of higher education. However, as I learned about the structure of the human body along with the function of muscles and the dynamics of movement, my interest grew. I realized this is what my purpose in the world was; to bring quality massage with my own unique style while focusing on results and relaxation for clients.

Immediately following my graduation from the Arizona School of Massage Therapy I received four months of private tutoring from Shannon Alphonse, a now retired massage therapist of 10 years. In the time since, I have maintained a high commitment to my own continuing education in the field. I average just over 6 credit hours per month with a current total of 150 credits. This very much exceeds the state requirement of 24 credits every two years. Most importantly it provides me with an ever expanding range of techniques that I integrate into my personal style of massage.

I am frequently asked: “What is your favorite modality of massage?” The best answer to that is whatever mixture is best for that particular session. I have always loved learning and researching. As a massage therapist I often research which massage techniques, stretches or essential oils may best help the different ailments my clients come in with. I have learned several different modalities that I integrate together based on my client’s needs for that particular appointment. This creates a highly customized experience for each client, every time they come in.
